Aparna Gazula

Aparna completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Sciences from the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, India, in 2000.  In 2004, she received a Master of Science degree in Horticultural and Crop Sciences from The Ohio State University. Her thesis was on the effects temperature and light on anthocyanin pigment levels in different leaf lettuce varieties.

She began  work towards a doctor of philosophy in the Horticultural Sciences department at the University of Florida, and will receive her PhD degree in Horticultural Sciences in May of 2009. Her PhD dissertation is on the impact of irrigation and nutrient management programs on fruit yields, nitrogen load, and crop value of fresh market tomatoes grown with plasticulture.
