Before You Tie the Knot - Premarital Preparation

UF/IFAS Extension offers a Before You Tie The Knot premarital preparation class on-line.  You can register for this course by clicking on the following link: http://tinyurl.com/kkkcjrk.

Upon completion of the online class, certificates may be picked up at the UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County Office.  Please call 352-955-2402 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Brenda Williams, Family & Consumer Sciences Agent, to receive your certificate.

Please note:  Dr. Williams is available to provide this class (two 2-hour sessions) at the location of interested churches, schedule permitting.  There is no fee.  At least 6 couples are required. Contact Dr. Williams at 352-955-2402.

Home Buyer's Education Series

  1. Making the Decision to be a Homeowner:
    Getting Your Credit and Budget in Order
    How Much House Can You Afford
  2. The Home Purchasing Process:
    Steps from Offer to Closing
  3. Working with Housing Professionals:
    Experts will be available to answer your specific questions.

Participants must attend all three sessions to receive a certificate.

Sessions are 6:00-8:30 pm.

$10.00 fee for entire series (per individual/couple). Payments made at first session.

Pre-register by calling 352-955-2402 one week prior to first session. Series is subject to cancellation if less than 6 people pre-register.

ServSafe Food Safety Training for Managers

hamburgerThis course meets the Florida Criteria for food managers of all establishments. Passing the exam will meet National Certification - good for five years.
